heavenly cream biscuits

These are not my grandma's biscuits, but they are the best I've ever made.  Easy and delicious!  Perfect for a lovely weekend breakfast of biscuits, jam, and tea.  These biscuits are savory and can stand up to your sweetest and yummiest honey or fruit spread.

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon Kosher salt

2 cups cold heavy whipping cream

Cooking Notes

Spoon flour into the measuring cup and level with a knife. If you use the measuring cup as a scoop, you will have too much flour and your biscuits may come out dry.

Spray ice cream scoop with pan coat spray before using.

step-by step instructions

Preheat oven 400 degrees F.

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
  2. Add cream to the center of the dry ingredients and stir until ingredients are just combined. Don’t over mix. The dough should be a bit sticky.
  3. Using an ice cream scoop with retractable release, drop by the spoonful onto a cookie sheet about 1.5 inches apart. Bake 18-20 minutes until lightly browned on the top and golden brown on the bottom.
  4. Serve with your favorite jam.
