Meet Kimberly

This is the part where I tell you who I am. Well, here we go!

My personal mission as a business leader, educator and dedicated foodie is to create spaces that facilitate growth, inspiration, and capacity for living the most gracious life possible….” 

To me, a gracious life is an informed one. It means we are in tune with our own needs and wants as well as what’s going on in the world around us. 

My time spent working and traveling in Europe, Asia, North and South America has profoundly shaped who I am and how I view hospitality and graciousness. I’ve had the honor and privilege of working in multiple industries. Probably most relevant to the work of Ruby George, is my exploration of iconic global hospitality brands from the inside out like the Four Seasons and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts where I worked in food and beverage and asset management respectively. These experiences along with my travels, have shaped the way I think about hospitality from how I welcome people into my home to how I create environments that inspire learning and growth for adult learners.

Over the years, I’ve shared recipes and menu ideas with friends and family.  I always thought that it would be great to share what I've learned with other busy working professionals who enjoy entertaining and have to balance their family, social, and professional lives.  I realize this site includes an unusual mix of professional musings, lifestyle, and culinary passions, but that's reality. It has to coexist in order to get done, so I figured why not give it a try here. 

Through Ruby George, I hope to inspire you to live a delicious life—one that is informed, thoughtful, balanced, and pleasing to your taste buds. Not only a life that you enjoy, but a life that will enhance the lives of those who share space with you in the world.
